Here are some helpful tips to ensure your wedding day goes smoothly and you have an amazing time.
We look forward to capturing your special day!
Tell your guests, "Relax, photographic coverage of the wedding is in capable hands. Enjoy the day!" You've hired us as your wedding photographer, and we're eager to do our job. It's a great idea to mention in your invitations for guests to leave their phones and cameras tucked away during the wedding. There is nothing worse than having a beautiful moment blocked by someone holding up their cell phone trying to capture the same moment.
We work hard to keep the timeline and shot list on schedule, but your job is to enjoy your day. If that means we run a little behind here or there because you’re having a great time, no worries!

It can take valuable time (up to 30 minutes) learning to do your bustle the day of your wedding. Do a test run beforehand to ensure you and your dress handler (family member or bridesmaid) know how it works.
Wedding days fly by and couples don't always remember to eat. We don’t want any fainting! Have a snack ahead of time in case you don’t have time to eat later. In fact, you’ll probably be hungry after the wedding is all over too. You can ask the caterer to pack you an extra meal for later that you can bring back to your hotel room.
We all know how hot it can get in Florida. Having a battery operated fan handy should help keep you cool.
Keep your bouquets held low at the waist so you look slim and amazing. When you hold it up by your chest it reflects colors onto your skin which is not so easily retouched.
During your rehearsal ask your officiant to step to the side when they announce your first kiss. This ensures we get a great shot of you and your newly betrothed with a clear background.
For the first kiss, first dance dip, arms up as you make your way back down the aisle - hold these moments just a bit longer. This ensures your photographer has time to capture the moment.
Your photographers have a few tricks up their sleeves regarding getting everyone’s attention during the wedding party and family group shots. However, it always helps to have the resident “loud mouth” on-call to direct everyone’s attention to the photographers. Just let us know who this person is so we can call upon them for their loud whistle, deep voice or gravitas when we need them.
The MOST important advice is to keep taking long, deep breaths throughout your day. You’ll want to stay as present as possible to enjoy this special day in your lives, and taking those deep breaths can help keep you present and calm.
Your day will fly by so savor each kiss, each dance, each hug and have an amazing time with the love of your life, family and friends. And relax, we’ll capture Moments that Last a Lifetime you can cherish for many years to come.
